Our brand new BBC One Saturday night singing show has been announced!

The 6 x 60-minute show Pitch Battle (w/t), seeks to uncover Britain’s best vocal group or choir.

Groups will compete across a series of choral challenges in five hour-long heats, which includes a Pitch Perfect-inspired ‘riff offs’ round, a soloists challenge and an acapella round.

Kate Phillips, the BBC’s controller of entertainment commissioning, said the new show would have “shed loads of sass and spirit”.

“There are millions of people in the UK of all ages and backgrounds who sing simply for the love of it, for the joy and sense of community it creates,” she added.
