Hosted by Mel Giedroyc, The Way Out is a high-stakes comedy escape-room competition with comedians Ed Gamble and Nish Kumar going head-to-head as team captains.

Gamble is joined by Chloe Petts and Lou Sanders, while Kumar teams up with Amy Annette and David O’Doherty. Across four hour-long episodes, the two teams are dropped into bespoke, themed escape rooms with just one rule: be the first to find “the way out.”

What awaits them inside is a total mystery until the clock starts. Each room is a fully realised world packed with hidden areas, puzzles and surprises — including Gone Fishing, Fire Fighters, Shrink Machine and Art Heist. The team that conquers all four rooms in the fastest combined time will be crowned the overall winners.

From her front-row seat, Mel Giedroyc keeps the chaos moving, dials up the tension and offers the occasional hint when teams are truly stuck.
